Amorphous Beginnings was recorded in Covid-19 quarantine days. In the creation of this album, we are inspired by the amorphous, unpredictable circularity in nature. All components of the album -the music, song titles and cover artwork- are created from this point of view in collaboration with Doğa Eroğlu.

First song, “Under Terra”, focuses on the unnoticed process of this circularity and leads to a dark ambient atmosphere. With the second song, “Regreening”, the album is turning into a dynamic and energetic sound. Last song, “Growing Down”, highlights that the process of growing can take any form.

Covid-19 sebebiyle karantina koşullarında kaydedilen Amorphous Beginnings, “doğadaki döngüsellik” fikrinden ilham alıyor. Ama bu döngüselliğin “biçimsiz, belirlenmemiş, öngörülemez” oluşuna da vurgu yapıyor. Albümün ve şarkıların isimleri, kapak görselini de hazırlayan Doğa Eroğlu ile birlikte, bu temayı yansıtacak şekilde tasarlandı.

Albümün ilk şarkısı olan “Under Terra”, bu döngüselliğin “göze görünmediği” kısmına odaklanan ve “dark ambient” hissiyata sahip bir şarkı olarak tanımlanabilir. İkinci şarkı olan “Regreening” ile söz konusu döngüselliğin dinamizmini ve coşkusunu hissediyoruz. Son şarkı olan “Growing Down” ise büyümenin sadece ileriye veya yukarıya doğru değil de her yöne doğru olduğunu vurguluyor.

Panøpsis is an Istanbul-based instrumental post-rock band. Before the band formed in 2018, Sezgin Celik (guitar & keyboard), Huseyin Iflazoglu (guitar) and Umut Sah (bass guitar) has been creating music together in various projects since 2011. By giving the lead role to guitar and keyboard melodies which are enriched with electronica elements, they intend to create an atmospheric music. After Ethem Saran (drums) has joined, the band took its current shape. Titles of the albums and songs are inspired by a non-human-centered perspective. Album artworks are also created from this point of view by Doga Eroglu.

Panøpsis, 2011 yılından beri birlikte müzikal çalışmalar yapan Sezgin Çelik (gitar & klavye), Hüseyin İflazoğlu (gitar) ve Umut Şah’ın (bas gitar) post-rock janrına yönelik ilgisinin giderek artmasıyla 2018’de şekillenen bir enstrümantal post-rock grubudur. Ethem Saran’ın (davul) katılmasıyla birlikte, grup son halini almıştır. Elektronik öğelerle zenginleştirilen gitar ve klavye melodilerinin önde olduğu, söz içermeyen, atmosferik bir müzik yaratmayı amaçlayan grubun More-Than-Human-World isimli 4 şarkılık ilk EP’si 16 Mart 2019 tarihinde yayımlandı. “Dünyanın insandan ibaret olmadığı” fikrinden ilham alan albüm ve şarkı isimleri, grubun dünyaya bakış açısını da yansıtmaktadır. Grubun görsellerini de yine bu perspektifle Doğa Eroğlu hazırlamaktadır.
